This course helps students improve their reading comprehension skills. Students will read a variety of narrative and expository writings such as essays, articles, and short stories. After reading them, they will discuss about the author's point of view and a thesis, organization, structure, tone, and styles of writing to develop and improve their own reading comprehension. Also, they will write a literary journal report on stories and work on writing their own on a similar topic. An instructor will lead a discussion to help students with their analysis and interpretation and guide them on their writing.
