Create video games while learning Java programming! 

 

This is a great introduction to Java programming. Students will use the traditional text programming to learn about object oriented programming (OOP), but see the immediate feedback on their programming through visual effects in a graphic, interactive environment. Through programs to maneuver characters in a graphic environment, students will learn all about the core concepts of OOP such as class and inheritance concepts. For a final project, they will work on creating their own video games.
