This course covers math concepts and topics aligned with the fifth and sixth grade math curriculum at school. It will review operations with fractions and decimals as well as conversion to and from between fractions and decimals. In addition, it will introduce concepts in factors, divisibility, ratio and proportion, percents, angles, circles, means, median, mode, counting, probability, angles, exponents, functions, and algebra. Also, an instructor will help students improve their mental math calculation skills.

 

All students will actively participate in class by presenting solutions on a board and explaining their approach and reasoning to other students. Students are required to do daily homework and will be given quizzes.
