Course Description :
Students will learn about basic concepts in chemistry. After an instructor introduces and discusses about concepts, they will have fun, hands-on activities and watch demonstrations to enhance their understanding. They will learn about the elements and molecules, the periodic table, the atomic structure, chemical bonding and reactions, phase changes, gases, and acids and bases as well as some of applications of chemistry in real life.
Chemicals used in all activities are non-hazardous household products and are safe. All experiments are performed under close supervision of an instructor.
